Sherry, I have just been given a book from my cousin that is called "Governor Garrard of Kentucky" by Anna Russell des Cognets containing a "A Postscript About the Garrard Family" by Louis des Cognets, Jr. 1st printing by Anna was 1898 and 2nd 1962, with Louis portion in the 1962 edition. I haven't had time to start reading yet, but the info is priceless! I will send more info as I read and research.
