Dear Sandi, I think you need to re-think my first Email. Had I followed the real history of Daniel's family it would show them as all pro slave owners. By giving T. T. some of his cousin's anti slave views, it makes T.T.'s family not look like a bunch of total racists. Terry

Dear U .K. I am also looking for my English Garrard Roots but my 5th GGF came to America by about 1740 so i don't think I can help you. Terry Lee Garrard Sr.
Dear Sandi, I have a lady retyping my movie script of my movie script of "When Red Grass Grew Over Kentucky" , and the Clay County feud. When it is finished is finished I am going to send it to be filed at the Screen Writers Guild in Hollywood. I held to the true history of the feud when at all possible. Because so much of what happened is not on record I took liberty to try to guess what happened and also keep the story interesting. I also combined some many family members feeling into key people in the script. Gen. T. T. Garrard is not his real life personality but some of his cousins view against slavery which I am sure you know T. T. was very pro slavery even though he was a Union General. But for the story sake I pitted his father Daniel's very pro slavery against T. T. having anti slavery views. I did the same with other people also. Someday it may hit the Big Screen or at least the little screen on T. V. I am going to send Nick Clooney a finished copy, he is local and loves Kentucky history. I sent him a very early copy about 8 years ago. Nick is George Clooney's father if you don't know. I may even dive it to his home about an 1 hour away in Augusta, Kentucky away and give it to him. Love to all my cousins Terry Lee Garrard Sr.

This is probably the James A. Garrard married to Martha Young. Found in the Todd County census 1870, and also mentioned in Anna Russell des Cognets' book. Children match up. I show his parents as James Garrard and Sarah Reeder. Dear Cousin Terry Garrard, Sr. and other Garrard family, I'm Judith J. Miller and in the same family line as Terry Garrard, Sr.. It has been because of Terry's diligent work that I know of my family connection to this wonderful family. I have been ill and have settled back in my home county of Kansas in the past two years. I have been waiting for the opportunity to get involved in the DNA testing of this family surname -- reguardless of the spelling. My brother has been my link to this y-chromeshone testing and his sampling has been sent in during this past week. It has been my intention to get involved for the past few years and he had agreed to do this for me. I'm happy that the testing is now includes those other than those with the surname only. As Terry can tell you -- adoption of my Grandfather has prolonged our family search for our bloodlins. It is because of him and others willing to help that we can know where our ancestry traces back. Many thanks and I hope to have results to share in the next weeks ahead. Judith J. Miller 355 SW 50th St. Saint John, KS 67576 620.549.3274
