I am looking for a possible marriage record for my gggrandmother, Mary Ann (Hood) Walker Rowe. I know that she was possibly married to a Walker before she married James Rowe. It is thought that her maiden name may have been Hood. Does anyone know of how I can check for this marriage record without having to visit the courthouse? The possible marriage record I am looking for is: Mary Ann Hood (possible maiden name) and ? Walker (possibly John) who were married in Richmond County circa July 1845. Mary Ann later married James Rowe July 3, 1853 (Richmond Co, GA) but listed her marriage date as 1845 on her Civil War pension records.
