The Dixie Pig was near the end of Broad St and Greene's was at the end of Greene St. The old Greene's building is still there, but in sad disrepair. I am 67. So I remember going to both as a little girl. My Dad's red truck had a running board and the servers would meet you at the entrance, jump on the running board and ride to the parking place, then take your order. Wonderful memories. Going out to eat now, wish I could go to Greene's Drive In and get a "thing." In case no one remembers, a "thing" was a very thick chocolate shake.
