I was looking in the 1880 Census and came across Gardner's as step-children living with John & Jane DOUGLASS. Is anyone interested in: Henry GARDNER- born Scotland- age 16 ; John GARDNER- age 8 born in N.J; and Margaret GARDNER-age 6 born in OH. It shows the Mother Jane GARDNER- DOUGLASS was born in Scotland age 41 and the father of the children born in Scotland. This was Columbiana Co. Ohio Census info from the LDS site (free). Hope this info helps someone. If anyone would run across Eliza Jane Gardner in the OH or PA census info for 1850-60-70, (may have been Eliza Jane Young by 1870) please let me know....I have been unable to locate her with her family prior to 1880 (PA.
