The handwriting was pretty readable. Some of the best info is not in the index material above. Avalon Borough is in Kilbuck Township in Allegheny County. The street they are on is Temple Avenue, no house number. They were at Dwelling #303, Family #339, City Ward 3, Enumeration District No. 5, . Date was 15 April 1910. The page number handwritten by the enumerator was 14; the stamped number on the page was 183A. Number of years of present marriage for Elijah and Elizabeth is 19. Number born and number now living of children born to Elizabeth was 4. Birthplace of Elijah's father is New York; his mother, Pennsylvania. Birthplace of Elizabeth's father is Ger-German; mother, Ger-German. He was a Carpenter; General nature of industry was Houses. For whether an employer, employee, or working on own account, the entry is "W" for Elijah. He was not out of work on April 15, 1910, and had "0" weeks out of work during 1909. Both Elijah and Elizabeth were able to read and write. They owned their home; it was mortgaged, and it was a house. For their son, Elijah R., he was single. He was a Framer, General nature of industry was Department Store. For whether an employer, employee, or working on own account, the entry is "W". He was not out of work on April 15, 1910, and had "0" weeks out of work during 1909. He was able to read and write and attended school since September 1, 1909. For the brother-in-law, Richard Clouse. I finally deciphered that Avalon Borough was Enumeration District 337 under "Other Townships" in Allegheny Co. It was 43 pages long.
