No...don't do that..run them under water! Yikes! I saved my old bible records that were brown and falling apart by putting them in plastic sleeves. I too have some old newspapers I want to share. You might want to talk with someone who does restoration. I heard on CH 57 that humity is good for old book but you'd have to know the right temp settings. Keep out of sunlight and heat.
