You are the first I have written about Mourning Gardners family..I have very little information on her.. except I walk the same grounds that she did.. as I live on Isreal's farm in northwest Louisiana. She was my great great grandmother and Isreal my great great Grandfather. I have learned her father was named Prior Gardner. Mourning named a son after him, Prior Gardner Rogers, who named his son Isreal Roach Rogers, who's son Bernard Harry Rogers was my Father. My Father had a brother, named Murphy Prior.. so I was happy to find where that name came from. I would like to know if Mourning had children by her first marriage to the Sumral Man. I don't know his name. I will order the Family Tree Maker file you suggested.. and will be happy to fill in any blanks in your data for your book that I can. Thank you for contacting me.
