Hi, I am also new to this list. Trying to find this connection (which was my brick wall, now a new one;) Overton Tazwell Gardner (born in Louisa County VA Oct 27, 1813) & sister Permila (there were other children, these are the names I know). Overton Gardner's mother was a Mary POLLY Harris m. Aaron Lowry they were divorced & adopted by his ? Grandfather Thomas Gardner. In documents it says Thomas provided his education & left most of his estate to him. So! I will "assume" it was Mary's father (perhaps she was married before? or Harris was HER mothers surname & on documents GARDNER was left off)? Just thought I'd see if any one who has been working strictly on Gardners in this area, they all seem to be related somehow. Thanking you in advance for any advice, Marti in StL MO
