Thought I would post in case someone new is on the list! I am looking for a connection between the Gardner/Gardiner and Fones surnames from Rhode Island, Massachusetts and possibly New York. James Fones Gardner, died 1818, Meigs County, Ohio. Married to Anne Ireland, daughter of Thomas Ireland and Sarah Seeley. This couple had three children: George Washington Gardner Emeline Clarkson Gardner James Fones Gardner, Jr. - Census info says father born Rhode Island. Any help appreciated! Judy
