Hi - Thanks everyone for the replies! Roger - I see you are from Scotland. Supposedly there is a possibility that my Thomas Frederick Gardner may have been born there or his parents were from there. On census reports he would list his birthplace as Buffalo NY; however, there were articles about him in the local newspapers that described him as a large man who came to America from Scotland. We are having an extremely hard time tracing the roots farther than him.
