Hello all, I am looking for information on my G.Grandfather Alexander Gibson Gardner. I think he was from Govan or that area. I have him visiting Govan on the 1881 Census. But I am unable to find any informatuion on his birth. He was married to Agnes Doig Milne whose parents were David Milne and Catherine Mcpherson. He was born 1832 and married 1857. At one point in his life he was a Marine Engineer. On his marrieage certificate it states that his ususal residence was Glasgow although at some point they moved to Dundee were Agnes was from and were they had four children. I did find a James Gardner and Margaret Love from Renfew which is not far from Govan but the birth records from LDS show four children George Jean John and Jane the last being born 1821 as Alexander was born 1832 that is a large gap and I could not find any record for his birth. Anyone got any idea's. Thankyou Avril.
