Howdy, Still looking for information about the ancestry of JOHN D. GARDNER (b. 1763 Rowan Co., NC, d. aft. 1850 AL) and his wife MARGARET MOORE (b. c1770 NC, d. aft 1850 AL). Their daughter, ELIZABETH (b. c1805 SC, d. c1858 Panola Co., TX) married SOLOMON WOOD (b. 1791 GA, d. 1850 Rusk Co., TX) during 1824. JOHN D. GARDNER was a JP in Alabama for a couple of years... he and MARGARET divorced about 1845. Don't know anything else about them... bunch of GARDNERs in Rowan Co., NC... one of 'em musta been his dad... or grandpa... or somethin. Would appreciate any help knocking down this brick wall.
