My John Gardner was born around 1755 in Sussex County VA and married Elizabeth James on Feb 9 1780 in Bertie County NC. Elizabeth James was the daughter of Edward James. John & Elizabeth's daughter Eurydice Gardner married George Grimes b. 1781 of Rowan County NC (according to Virginia Crilley) in Tennessee by the year 1804. They had children in Stewart County TN where John Gardner's will is recorded. Interested in talking to others researching Gardners in NC prior to 1800.
