Hi Listers, I have been researching for my gg-grandfather William O Hart. I have discovered that in about 1854 a Daniel Gardner married a Hester A., living in Camillus, NY; had an adopted William O. Hartt. The 1855 Onondaga County Census said that Daniel was 29 years of age and Hester was 32 years of age. Daniel was a farmer. Does anyone have information on this adoption/guardianship of William? I'm trying to find William's birth parents and if he had any siblings. And now, why was he adopted?
