    3. I am confused! Maybe I don't have the information correct, but maybe we are looking at two different George's??? Are you referring to George, son of Thomas (Salem/Nantucket Gardners)?? The information I have is he arrived in American in 1624. The earliest mention of George Gardner in the Town Records of Salem, Ma. is under the date of the 8th of the 9th month 1637 at which time he was granted ten acres of land. He became a member of the First Church in Salem in 1641 (First Church Records). This being the case, he would not have married in London in 1630. I haven't come across the mention of the two "common law" wives before. I found them on the internet, but what I'm not sure is if this George is Thomas' son.
