Searching for the family of Rhodes Gardner, b. July 20, 1770, in New York, married Lydia Bates, b. Mar 10, 1776 in Vermont. They had 14 children , all but last two were born in NY. last two were born in PA, most likely. The family settled in Hardin County, Ohio. Caleb Gardner was the first Cooper in Patterson, Ohio, Hardin County. He was born Dec 19, 1813. He married Mary Ann Clark and they had 4 children. Edmund G. Gardner was my husband's gggrandfather. He married Amelia Pearson and they had 5 children. Charles D. was my husband's grandfather. He married Ella Belle Holden and they had 7 children.
