NC GARDNER My Gardner Ancestors in North Carolina, appx 1776 - 1846 +/- William Gardner married his cousin Susanna Gardner on Nantucket Island, Mass, his place of birth, and they gave birth to James Gardner, Sr at Deep River in Gilford County, North Carolina on 4 May 1776. James married at Deep River on 4 Mar 1802 Elizabeth Starbuck (yes, it is said that Starbuck coffee "borrowed" the name from this family), who was also born on Nantucket, and their son John Lucian Gardner was born at Deep River, NC in 1805. This couple, James and Elizabeth, moved to Wayne County, Indiana, where they are buried. John Lucian married Margaret Harris and they went west on the Oregon Trail.     3. Could you start a pile of Isaacs. My Mary Gardner, born in 1824 to Isaac Gardner in Ohio. I know there was an Isaac Jr. and Sr. at that time who could be her father (either one, I guess) but have no proof. Would like to hear from Isaac Gardner people.
