Hello everyone, I trying to make a HOLT/BROWN connection. I have a NANCY HOLT b. abt. 1816 in Buncombe Co., GA. married to JOSEPH BROWN b. abt. 1800 in Buncombe Co. GA. They are listed in the 1850 census as living in Rabun Co. GA. JOSHEP BROWN age 40 b. NC NANCY HOLT? BROWN age 36 b. NC Children: GEORGE D. 16 b. GA LUCINDA 14 b. GA WILLIAM S. 12 b. GA MARY J. 10 b. GA JOHN J. 8 b.GA HELDA 6 b. GA NANCY E. 4 b. GA JOSEPH W. 2 b.GA JAMES P. (born after 1850) MARTHA (born after 1850) REBECCA (born after 1850) The next census that I have for them is 1860 Blount Co. AL. Evidently Nancy Holt? passed away prior to the move to Alabama. Their oldest son GEORGE D. married FRANCES MALINDA FOWLER b. SC They were apparently married sometime prior to 1854 in GA.
