I was recently in contact with Robert Brown from the Sumter Co., SC Historical Society, who is trying to contact a lateral descendant of James Albert York, son of William York and Nancy Coffee. Apparently, James was part of the 11th GA Infantry during the War Between the States and was killed in Sumter County. He is buried in a solitary grave in someone's front yard under some azaleas.
