The United Daughters of the Confederacy will officiate. Following the grave side ceremony we will have a covered dish meal in Harmony Baptist's fellowship hall. Here is some Holcomb genealogy starting with Bennett: Bennett was b. 9 June 1842 and d. 3 Aug. 1923, at the age of 81 years. Bennett married first Nancy Minervah Wilburn. Nancy is listed in family bible as b. 30 Oct. 1845, d. 26 May 1885, buried at Harmony Baptist. (There is no marked grave with her description at Harmony.) Bennett and Nancy's children: 1. William, b. ca 1861; 2. Joshua Thompson, b. 23 July 1867, d. 3 Feb. 1931; 3. Savannah, b. ca 1869; 4. Wiley Sylvester, b. 24 April 1872, d. 18 March 1964, buried Harmony; 5. Vianna. Nancy died and Bennett married 2nd to Octavia Shoemake? b. 14 July 1869, d. 3 Aug. 1909, buried Harmony. Their children: 6. Jessie Lee, b. Oct. 1889; 7. Bennett O. (female), b. Aug. 1881; 8. Isaac Harrison, b. Sept. 1893 SC, d. Nov. 1932, Richmond, VA; 9. Theo Ross, b. 1896 GA, d. ca 1935, VA; 10. Jewel Haney b. 22 Jan 1897 buried Alcovy Baptist, Gwinnett Co., GA; 11. Additional information on Vianna: "Vi" married 12 Sept. 1912, to W. N. 'Frank' Wilkerson. They moved to Houston, TX. Their children: Lucille, Joe, Paulene, Victor Allen Sr., and Ethel. Joe was a fireman. Paulene married a Counts; moved to New Orleans. Victor, also fireman, married Blanche; their so n: Victor Allen, Jr. Ethel married Murray Neel, who owned a drug store in Houston. Their child Joan, b. 17 Aug. 1945, d. 1997. Joan was crowned "Miss Texas World" in 1964. Joan married, divorced Patrick Nicosia. I located Joan's former husband and two sons.
