I have a question about BECKs. In 1850 there was a family on the 1850 census listed as Merchants; John BECK and wife Elizabeth with 3 month old son Eugenius....... My question why did they have living with them one Sarah A. HUNNICUTT age 24? Does anyone know the connection of BECK to the HUNNICUTTs or possibly to MATHIS which was Sarah's maiden name?
