    3. http://www.theclaytontribune.com/ The Clayton Tribune Newspaper is on-line. For "old newspapers".... UGA has lots of newspaper on microfilm http://www.libs.uga.edu/gnp/titlelist.html At the very bottom of the page "Begin Search" These are listed by name of city.... so for Rabun, try Clayton (the county seat) Clayton *Clayton Tribune Jan. 1, 1925-present North Georgia Weekly Press Apr. 6, 1955 But this doesn't cover "olden times" --- does anyone know what large newspaper may have covered Rabun County in the 1880's? I did find: Habersham Co. Clarkesville Advertiser/Clarkesville Advertiser Jan. 4, 1882-Dec. 23, 1884; Apr. 2, 1890-Mar. 14, 1911 Northeast Georgian Dec. 23, 1857 Tri-County Advertiser Apr. 1913-Nov. 5, 1925; Feb. 1926-Mar. 30, 1990 For "look-ups" for Obits, try: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~obitl/ and if you are lucky enough to get an obit, do share it so we can get it on-line for Rabun Co. If anyone has any "old" obits -- newspaper clippings tucked away in someone' s Bible -- please type those up and share. Even if they don't have the date or name of newspaper, or even if you don't know who they might be. It is sure to help someone out!
