It is from Watts descendants as well as records from Rabun Co., GA and other counties and states but it is always possible there are mistakes. MARY ELVIRA "POLLY" GILLESPIE was born May 23, 1805 in NC, and died February 04, 1884 in Fairmount, Gordon Co., GA. She married PLEASANT WILLIAM WATTS December 02, 1821 in Burke Co., NC, son of JOSEPH WATTS and ELIZABETH LYDIA ANN CARGILE. He was born November 01, 1796 in Buncombe Co., NC, and died March 18, 1857 in Fairmount, Gordon Co., GA. In the 1860 census Mary is listed with sons John C., Wilson W,. Henry G., Sylvester R., and Milton, along with his wife. Mary's real estate values at $ 2600 and personal property as $1700 Children of MARY GILLESPIE and PLEASANT WATTS are 1.
