    3. For those of you in Rabun County, if you haven't already heard, Mike Cannon passed away late last week. He had been battling cancer for a while. For those of you who don't know who Mike was, he was a long-time board member of the Rabun County Historical Society (in fact, I believe he was the president this year). He was responsible, in part, for having signs put up at the local cemeteries, and was an advocate of cemetery preservation in general. Mike was also a teacher, and had retired from his position at Rabun County High School several years ago. He was a friend of mine, and a mentor; his guidance will be sorely missed.

    3. You are right Mike was very sweet. Mike always had time to talk with you. He leaves big shoes to fill. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dawn Watson" <booleygirl@hotmail.com> To: <GARABUN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, August 29, 2005 12:46 PM Subject: [GARABUN] Mike Cannon > For those of you in Rabun County, if you haven't already heard, Mike Cannon > passed away late last week.
