I am looking information regarding Augustus Smith listed in the 1870 Census for Rabun Co. age 4, son of Henry and Sarah M. Smith. In the 1880 Census for Rabun Co. I believe he was referred to as Stephen A. age 14 sun of Henry and Sarah M. Smith. Stephen / Augustus / Gus would have had siblings: Mountie or Josephine, Mary E, Serepta G., Margaret V., James H. and Sarah M. Earlier information that I have on Henry shows his wife as Elizabeth. My research has shown this to be Elizabeth Dockins from the recorded marriage in Clayton, Ga. She is listed in the 1850 and 1860 Census. Elizabeth and Sarah are interchangeable names - however, I believe the age discrepancy shows them to be two different people. If I could contact descendants of Stephen or other descendants this would greatly help. Thank you. Gail Smith Boyle
