Looking for information on Joseph J. Coffee, b. near 1850 in Rabun County, GA. Married in Rabun Co. abt. 1872; had 3 sons, Terrell b. 1875, Jessie b. 1877, and Joseph Benjamin b. April 28, 1881, and one daughter b. 1879 (name unknown). All children were born in Rabun County. Joseph J. Coffee and wife both died in 1883 leaving the four children orphaned. They were raised by John Lawson Whitmire and Matilda "Tildy" B. (Coffee) Whitmire; migrated to Madison County, ARK abt. 1885-86. Joseph J. Coffee is believed to be the son of Rev.
