New to Rabun Co., GAGenWeb's Revolutionary War page: Revolutionary War Veterans who participated in the Georgia Land Lotteries URL: http://www.rootsweb.com/~garabun/revwar/rwgll.html The list is limited to soldiers who lived in Rabun Co. or drew lots in Rabun Co. and is cross-referenced (as best I could) against the 1830 census for Rabun Co. Woohoo! We now know of 20 Revolutionary War Veterans who later lived in Rabun Co., thanks to the land lottery records. We still need information on many of these men and their families. In fact, our Biographies Board is empty, so gather up your facts and submit them there. If you feel uncomfortable writing everything up, let me know and I'll find someone who can help. The most important thing (and I can't emphasize this enough) is that we make the information available. I'm not sure if I let y'all know or not, but I finally sent the 1830 and 1840 censuses for Rabun Co. to a proof reader. After losing one volunteer twice and losing the name and address of another volunteer when we switched computers, I had just about given up hope of getting them online.
