My thanks to Dawn Watson for her continuing great work on the Rabun County website. I just found the death of my ancestor William Wall on the 1870 Mortality Schedule. I had found nothing previously to indicate he died in Rabun Co. He signed over his property to his children in 1866 and did not appear on the 1870 census. This seemed to indicate he was leaving the county when he transferred his property. The mortality schedule says he was a widower, so his wife Rebecca Blythe apparently died in Rabun Co. also.
