    2. If anyone can help this researcher, please e-mail him directly. There are two e-mails, both with pertinent information about this family. >>> Subj: Rabun_Co_GA_Archives Date: 2/26/02 10:00:01 AM Central Standard Time From: Yorkfamily@charter.net (Steve York) Feb. 25, 2001 Dawn, I am not sure if you can help out, but here it goes. I am tracing my families history. I know that my great-great grandfather was Pleasant York who married Sarah E. Kenner on Oct. 1,1863. I know that Pleasant died on Sept. 10,1876 and Sarah died on Sept. 5, 1888. That is far back as I can trace. I have the information from Pleasant and Sarah's children forward. Who was Pleasant's father, mother and siblings? What did they do? When was Pleasant born? Anyway these are, I guess, typical questions that people may have. If you can help me or point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it. You can e-mail me at Yorkfamily@charter.net . Thank you. Sincerely, Steve York >>> Subj: pleasant york Date: 3/1/02 1:01:35 PM Central Standard Time From: Yorkfamily@charter.net (Steve York) March 1,2001 Dear Dawn, I am wondering in the marriage records indicate the name of the grooms parents or where they were from? I am researching the history of Pleasant York and I saw where he married Sarah Welborn in 1848 in Rabun Co GA. On a web site, I found out that this Pleasant was born in 1813 in NC. Pleasant also married Sarah E. Kenner in 1863. I didn't know if the original records told more than what you transcribed. They are both buried in Loudon Co. TN and Pleasant's head stone reads that he was born in 1813. Pleasant was my great great grandfather and Sarah E. was my great great grandmother. They had 7 children. From the 1920 Census in Loudon Co. TN, it states that John Franklin's (on of Pleasant's sons) father was from NC and mother was from GA. If you can help any, I would appreciate it. You can e-mail me at yorkfamily@charter.net . Thanks, Steve York
