    1. early Rabun County families
    2. Hi, everyone! As many of you may already know, I'm trying to get information online about the early settlers of Rabun County. There are a ton of new researchers out there who don't have immediate access to the records here in Rabun County, so this would be a great way to help them out while making contact with other researchers at the same time. These are two of the primary goals that we're trying to meet through the USGenWeb Project, but I need volunteers to step forward who are willing to share their time, knowledge and expertise. We have an almost brand new, but nearly empty, biographies board on the Rabun Co., GAGenWeb site that is just begging to be filled with biographical sketches. If you don't feel confident in your ability to write anything detailed or complicated, don't worry...help is available! Alternatively, if you would like to share a 3 or 4 generation descendancy chart on your earliest Rabun County ancestor, that would also be great. Right now I'm working on getting the third Rabun County marriage book transcribed to be placed online (Marian, I haven't forgotten about your Wall corrections). I know there are others out there working on these records, too, which we all appreciate. In the meantime, suggestions, comments and criticisms are all welcome. If y'all can think of a way that we can make this site better, please don't hesitate to let us know. My thanks, Dawn W. Cabe CC/Rabun Co., GAGenWeb http://www.rootsweb.com/~garabun/
