    3. Hello, I need HELP! I still believe that William "Elisha" Garrett, Known as Elisha by my relatives, was my great great grandfather. I have not been able to prove it or to disprove it. My problem is I have found nothing about William "Elisha" from August 1864, (when Muster Rolls show him absent without leave until about 1871. The years in between are unaccounted for & I believe that during this time he married a young lady (My Great Great Grandmother) Caroline Daniels/Daniel (Possibly Asley "Caroline Daniel/Daniels). I believe that they had a son Benjamin F. Garrett Born October 19, 1870, possibly in N.C./Georgia/Springtown, Arkansas, Benton County. Benjamin's death certificate list him as born in Springtown, Arkansas, Benton County. Also the death certificate list Benjamin's parents as Elisha Garrett & Caroline Daniels & both from Georgia. I know that a lot of people used their middle names instead of their first. Also the 1860 Federal Census list for Fannin County, Georgia list William "Elisha" as Elisha instead of William. The 1920 Gentry, Arkansas Census list Benjamin's Family, & list him as born in N.C./Georgia. I need help in filling in the missing years. Any Information on this would be very much appreciated. Thank You Mr.Gayle M. Garrett (I only used the Mr. to show gender) 1124 Easter Ave. WaKeeney, Kansas 67672-1936 Ph#. 785-743-2063 mailto:garr@ruraltel.net
