From: "Wylene Alston" <wylenel@aol.com> I am Wylene Alston of Winnie, TX. I do genealogy and have ancestors, Samuel and Catherine (Wetzel) Hefner that were in Rabun Co. Ga in the late 1830's, they died before December 1845, when his estate was probated. People that was listed in the probate records of Samuel Hefner were Edward Coffee, James Stonecyper, David Green, Thomas "Red" Kelly W. M. Cannon, Mason Grist, Jesse Jones, Levi Hefner, James Bleckley, Clerk. Katharine Hefner, John O. Jordin, John Keener, Woodson Worley, Ira Lovel, John Hefner, Wm J. Gaines, Daniel Duncan, Thomas Capehart, Jacob Crone, Woodson Worley, John O. Jourdin, Lewis N. Jones, Ephraim Hefner, Alfred Price, Susan Kelly, Eliza Hefner, Susan Jones, Jer. Webb, John Cuner, Alford Price. Edward Coffee. Some of their descendants may still live in the area. Children of Samuel and Catherine (Wetzel) Hefner that remained in Rabun Co., were Susan Hefner b. 1807 in Buncombe Co., NC, she married Thomas "Red" Kelly. Another daughter was Nancy Hefner b. 1813 in Buncombe Co., NC, she married Horace W. Cannon. Two of Samuel and Catherine Hefner sons, George and Levi Hefner married sisters, Clarissa and Lovicy Jones. George died soon, and Levi was found in 1850 in Cass Co., GA. Living with or next to him was Clarissa Jones, the widow of George Hefner, and sister to Levi's wife. These people later moved on to AR. If anyone has more information on any of these people I would love to hear about it. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ - ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to: RabunCountyGa-unsubscribe@onelist.com
