I've made copies of them and will send anyone a copy of them if you want to send me a self-addressed stamped envelope. Please include a note that you are requesting the maps so I know what to send you. They consist of a map of Pendleton District, SC, 1820, a map of the migration pattern from Caswell County, VA, to Burke Co, NC, to Pendleton District, SC, to Habersham Co., GA, and a map of what comprised Habersham County in the 1820s and how the other counties were divided off of Habersham County. The last one also shows that Pendleton District, SC, was adjacent to Habersham County at the time. The second one also shows the Indian Territory of Northwest Georgia over to Habersham County. I also found the narratives on the Nacoochee Valley settlers in 1822 and it follows the migration path described above from Virginia to Georgia. I will be posting this information on the list sometime over the next week. I copied the main part of the narrative but the pages describing the individual families are ones which contain mention of my own lines (as well as others). I also found numerous pages of court meetings from 1818 and deed abstracts I had copied. Again, they are random pages based on my surnames (and others) but there is a wealth of information on them and I will post those too as time permits. Sorry to ask you to forward the envelope but I'm still getting requests and want to limit the expense. If you want copies of anything else I have posted, please add enough postage to cover the postage and tell me what you want. My address is below. 1. update
    2. Here's your occasional update from me about how things are going on the Rabun Co. GenWeb site. The Archives have been updated to include the Disabled or Invalid Soldiers Roll. There are still plenty of records out there that need to be transcribed and made available online, so if any of you have access to these, please consider volunteering some time to get them online. Trust me, your effort will be appreciated by those who have no access at all to Rabun Co.'s records. Also, thanks to everyone who has contributed entries to the Migration Patterns project. The migration in page is growing just about every day. The migration out page, on the other hand, has very few entries so please, if you have ancestors who left Rabun Co. at some point, send those in to me. I have also recently taken over the Habersham Co., GA page. I just got that site up and running today, so if you have ancestors from Habersham, please check out the new site and send suggestions as to how I can improve things there. Also, I was finally able to get in touch with the South Carolina State Coordinator about taking over Pickens Co., SC. She e-mailed me this past Saturday to let me know that I could have that site. It will take me a few days to get something up there, so have patience with me. But I know there are several families in Rabun Co. who came from that area, so I thought y'all might want to know that there would be a new site there soon. Please remember that I am here to help you, the researcher, in any way that I can. Suggestions, comments and even complaints are welcome as they all help make Rabun Co.'s GenWeb site a better tool for you in your ancestral quest. Dawn W. 1. Early school records for Rabun County (1860-1880's)
    2. Your Name
    3. Hi all, I am trying to find a source of info for early (1860-1880's)school records that would tell the early history of Rabun County, GA education. My gggrandfather, John Henry PAGE was a teacher and later principal at one of these early schools, possibly near Pine Mountain or Warwoman. My gggrandmother, Minerva Tilley, first married a SMITH, then John H. Page, was also a teacher in Rabun County during these years. Minerva died about 1887 and John PAGE moved to Jackson County, NC near Sylva. Any ideas appreciated!

South Temple , Suite 4 Salt Lake City , UT 84111 website ; www.censusmicrofilm.com e-mail ; gme@nwinfo.net and ; sj@censusmicrofilm.com I was lured to order several microfilm copies from this company with "guarantees" of "speedy delivery" and "low price" . My order was placed in October of 1998 and as of this posting I have not received the order or a refund after numerous contacts with Steven Jensen at this firm . In his occasional replies he repeatedly gave false information to me as to the status of the order and cashed the check when mentioned stopping payment on it .I have copies of all documents and correspondences for those interested . Complaints have been filed with the Better Business Bureau and the United States Postal Inspectors , they have informed me that even they can't order this company to give a refund , but may seek criminal charges . I guess small claims court is next . If you are seeking genealogy resources......consider my experiences with this "Firm".
