    3. Hello, I live in florida. I've been researching the Addis family (William Addis born 1815 in SC) that lived at Addis gap, close to Moccasin creek state park. There are a few in this family that I have not been able to locate. One being John Henry Addis born 24 Aug 1893 and a few illigetimate children that I don't have names for. I've also been doing research on Andrew Miller family who first settled Rabun county, because he left Rabun and settled in Cass county where my Millers also settled, to see if his family is the Miller's I origninated from. No luck with this family at all that would tie my family to his, but I have been able to find his wife Rebecca F. Cheri's ancestry. I also have Denton's, Blalocks, Hunnicuts, and Wootans because I helped several from these families with their search. I have been averaging 4 trips a year to Rabun county to do research and to enjoy the beauty of this county. 3. Dred Swafford was the son of Elihu & Nancy Swafford and brother to my Great Great Grandmother Elizabeth Swafford Ramey. I had a time with who her parents were because she is married by the time the their is a census that lists the names of the children. The late Ray Swafford, God Bless him, helped me with this. Adeline Beck was the daughter of Captain Samuel M. Beck b. 1826 and Martha Wall. There are several good articles on the Becks and one on the Swaffords in the "Rabun County Georgia And It's People, Vol I"book. If you do not have access to it, I would be happy to scan the articles to you. Carter (or "Tiny" as he was called rather facetiously) married at least twice, the first time giving rise to Larry Scott SWAFFORD in Copperhill, Polk County, Tennessee. Larry is my husband's father. I am interested in any related families. Most specifically, I'm looking for cousins. I'm not sure what descendants remain of this family. Larry had one sibling, who is deceased (also named Carter Tate SWAFFORD, but called "Kikie"). Tiny had at least four siblings. Martin at least three, Dred at least six. How can we do that if we are not genealogists and know who our mothers and fathers are?

    2. I HAVE SEARCHED FOR SOME "CRUM" OF INFORMATION ON DAVID PAGE WHO DREW LAND IN THE LAND LOTTERY OF 1827 FOR YEARS. HE WAS MY GGGRANDFATHER. I FOUND HIM IN THE 1830 CENSUS AND I CAN TELL FROM THAT THAT HE IS THE RIGHT ONE. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE IS LOOKING FOR HIM OR KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT THE PAGE FAMILY. ALSO IS THERE A SECTION MAP OF RABUN COUNTY ONLINE TO SEE WHERE HE ACTUALLY DREW LAND? IT WAS SECTION 1, DISTRICT 14, LOT 152. IF THERE IS ONE ONLINE, I WOULD LIKE TO VIEW IT AND SEE JUST WHERE THIS LAND WAS LOCATED. OF COURSE, I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHERE HE CAME FROM AND WHO HIS PARENTS WERE. 1880 CENSUS SAYS EITHER NC OR SC, DEPENDING ON WHICH CHILD GAVE INFORMATOIN TO THE CENSUS TAKER. DAVID WAS SHOT BY THE FEDERALS AT THE AGE OF 71, IN HIS OWN ORCHARD IN MADISON CO. ARKANSAS. THANKS, MARILYN
