    3. I am still looking for the elusive Nancy Peek (Peak) who was married to Joel Brewer. She was born about 1833, married Joel May 13, 1849 in Paulding County and died sometime in 1870. Joel and Nancy were listed in the 1860 Census in Polk County. There is also a listing for Susan Brewer, widow, near theirs. We speculate that she was Joel's mother. Information just given to us suggest that Joel's father was Benjamin Brewer who died by 1850. We are unable to account for the family's whereabouts in 1870. We are speculating that Nancy died in childbirth and Joel had small children to worry about. His possible brother, Joseph Brewer, was in Paulding Co. at the time, but Joel's family was not listed with his. Joel became the Ordinary of Polk County in 1873 and served until his death, April 9, 1898. According to some records he donated at least some of the land for the Bethlehem Baptist Church at Fish Creek in Polk County. In any case, the church was founded AFTER Nancy Peek Brewer's death. Was she buried originally on the property? Joel is buried between Nancy and his second wife, Elizabeth Jackson. Was Nancy's body moved there later? Who were her parents? If you have any information on these Brewer's and/or Peek's (Peak's), please contact me. I'd be more than happy to share information that I have. Thanks, Carole
