    3. HACKNEY, BREWSTER, WILLIAMS, BAGWELL, PENCE, GRIFFITH, STONE, ALLEN, SMITH. Looking for information on William Elliott WILLIAMS (b. 1810 in Raleigh, NC, d. 1894 Esom Hill); he married "a BAGWELL from Temple, GA", they had a son Albert/Andrew WILLIAMS, b 1840. Albert/Andrew married Nicy PENCE b. 1840, they had a son John Elliott (Bose) WILLIAMS, b. 1868, d 1844, Esom Hill, GA. John Elliott married Fannie Ophelia HACKNEY, b. 1873, d. 1944), they had a large family, including Lillie Marteal WILLIAMS. I would like information on William Elliott WILLIAMS and the BAGWELL daughter he married. Also would like info on Nicy PENCE. J.H. GRIFFITH, probably from Cave Spring area, b. 1845, d 1918, married Elizabeth MORRIS, b. 1843 d. 1923, daughter of Homer F. MORRIS, also probably of Floyd County. They had a son, William Benjamin GRIFFITH, b. 1869, d. 1945. William married Cora Alice BREWSTER, b. 1878, d. 1918, they had a son Roy Cecil GRIFFITH, b 1898, d. 1919, who married Lillie Marteal Williams. Roy and Lillie were my grandparents. Would like more information on J.H. GRIFFITH and Elizabeth MORRIS. Cora Alice BREWSTER'S father was Richard Beverly BREWSTER, b. 1851, d 1919. His parents were Van Allen BREWSTER, b. 1817, d. 1897, and Elizabeth HUMPHREY, b. 1822, d. 1895. Richard married Nancy J. (Nannie) STONE, b. 1852, d. 1884, daughter of William Hopgood STONE, b. 1822 and Mary "Mollie" Kate GARNER, b. 1833, d. 1882. Would like more information on William Hopgood STONE. The biggest mystery of our family is, who is the father of Van Allen BREWSTER? He was illegitimate, born in Morgan County, died in Esom Hill. We believe his mother to be Rebecca ALLEN DALRYMPLE, who died in 1874. His father was a BREWSTER, presumably from the family of John BREWSTER and Elizabeth SHERIFF who moved their large family from MD/VA to Mechlenberg, SC about 1763, later moved to present Anderson Co., SC. Some of his sons moved to Morgan County Georgia around 1806 and we are fairly certain one of these offspring is the father of Van Allen. We suspect it was Sheriff BREWSTER JR., grandson of John BREWSTER and Elizabeth SHERIFF, for numerous reasons, but have no proof. Any old family records out there? I have excellent information on desc. of above, will gladly share and would appreciate any information about specified names. Thanks! Also looking for John Richard SMITH, SR., who was born in Cherokee County, married Katie PERRY, from Floyd County, and had a barber shop in Cedartown until his death in about 1953. Any information on his or Katie's parentage would be appreciated. They were my grandparents. Kitty Johnson Coldwell-Banker/Miller's Real Estate 1-800-616-3355 541-563-2349
