On the USGS Mapping Database I ran across a populated place(historical) in Polk Co "WINKLES". It appears to have been located at what is now the point where the RR crosses US 27 just north of the Haralson County line. Does anyone have any idea about this location. My paternal ancestors Winkles lived and died in that general area. Thanks, Don Barber
