The Haralson Co Historical Society will be recognizing the Early Settlers of Haralson Co during a series of special programs at their regular monthly meetings beginning in February. A different Family or Families will be recognized each month during this special series. The first family to be recognized will be the Caleb Goldin family. Caleb and his family came to this part of the state about 1827, almost 30 years before Haralson Co was formed. A plaque will be presented recognizing this Early Pioneer Family. Please make plans to be at the February 12 meeting at the Old Courthouse on the square in Buchanan at 7 p.m. If you would like to nominate an Early Pioneer Family to be recognized at a future meeting, send an e-mail to [email protected] with the name of the Early Settlers, date they moved to this area (present day Haralson Co) and why you think they should be chosen.
