Diane - I don't know if you already have this information, but I have two Hobbs men who married into my York family. 1. William Hobbs CSA, married Delilah 'Lila' York aft. 1850 Paulding County, Ga. She was b. 1827 McMinn County, Tenn. Her parents were Josiah Cowan York, Sr. and Sarah Blake York. I also have Andrew Jackson Hobbs b. abt 1820 Van Wert, Polk County, Ga. m. 11 Jun 1844 Paulding County, Ga. Elizabeth Ann 'Betsy' York b. 23 May 1823 Roane County, Tenn., d. 30 Mary 1899 Van Wert, Polk County, Ga. She is the sister of Delilah 'Lila' York. I would certainly like to have any information you have on the Hobbs family - I need more information on both Andrew and William, and would like to know their children. I also have an Archibald Hobbs who married Martha 'Patsy' Bond b. 9 Mar 1838 - I have no information on them but her father, James William Bond d. in Grundy County, Tenn. I have been researching several families that are connected to mine. Namely HOBBS, CALDWELL, PHILLIPS and several others that connect to these. Joseph Hobbs came from Greene County, Georgia and settled in Polk, Haralson and Paulding Co. I have a couple of areas in his family that are really messy and need cleaning up. He had a large family and there might be another Hobbs family that is either his or connected to my Hobbs line. He is a gr gr gr uncle to me. I ended up researching all of his siblings to find where the heck his brother went to and meeting a lot of great people on here over the years, because of some of these connections I found my Robert Hobbs Jr. Anyway since I have looked at the migration of all the siblings I want to finish getting them straightened out. Like I said I have a couple of areas that are messy and maybe some one on here can assist in getting me straight or finding the right answers.
