RE: WILLIAM SCOTT BOLAND Born in Rockmart, GA 1849 The following article was in the Shawnee, OK newspaper in 1921: W. S. BOLAND (WILLIAM SCOTT BOLAND) of 212 North Louisa Street, Shawnee, OK died following a stroke of paralysis Sunday noon, Mr. Boland who was 72 years and four months old, leaves a wife and nine children, six of whom live in or near Shawnee. S. W. BOLAND has been here visiting his parents for the past two weeks (from Alabama). The date of the funeral has not yet been set, as a son is coming from Colorado Springs, and other relatives from Ada and Wetumka. Mr. Boland had lived in the area for 25 years. IS THERE ANYONE RESEARCHING THIS FAMILY OR WHO HAS ANY KNOWLEDGE OF THEM? IF SO, PLEASE RESPOND.
The Fayette County Historical Society and the Fayette Heritage Committee are also doing a 2001 Heritage Book with Walsworth. People can get the specifications and an order form for the book at: www.HistoryFayetteCoGa.org Thanks. Janet Hubbard Mack, President Fayette County Historical Society
Amy Wish I could be of help but unfortunately I can't. I would love to have that census too. The only place I could be LDS. Rose Mary
Hi...I found your email on your Polk County Website. I hope you don't mind me asking a question. Do you know of anyone who has a full version of the 1860 Polk County Census. I'm trying to get some information about Alexander Murchison. He's listed as a land owner in Polk County in the Easom Hill Township. What I'm trying to do is either connect him to or rule him out as the Alexander Murkerson who was my grandfather's grandfather. I only seem to be able to find the index of the census which of course only lists his name. Thanks in advance for any help! Amy L. Winters
Have you visited the Haralson Co Historical Society web page lately? If not, many new things have been added including a section where you can list your "Brick Wall" ancestor and hopefully get a lead. Other county links have been added and some helpful information in the Genealogy Fact or Fiction section. If you have information that you would like to share with others or comments about the site, please send them to [email protected] The site can be found at http://www.rootsweb.com/~gahchs/ Doris Estes Robbins Haralson Co Historical Society Library Chairman
I am searching for two relatives. The first one is Jane Lathroy Stanford Lamb born 2 Mar 1901 in Polk County, GA. I've been told that she died when she was young and is probably buried in Polk County, GA. The second person is Annie Rebecca Lamb, born 30 Nov 1903. It was after this time frame that her parents, Lawrence Dumas & Abbie Rena Lamb, along with family, moved to Sumter County, FL, because the next child was born in FL in 1905. Can anyone help me in locating info concerning this family? I'd appreciate it. Larry Lamb St. Petersburg, FL [email protected]
I would be interested in making a contribution to the book re my grandparents William Scott Boland and Sarah Ida Woozencraft. They were married in Floyd, GA on September 26, 1867. Rose Mary [email protected]

Is there someone in the Polk Co. Ga. area who can do an 1850 census lookup for me? I am looking for a McLain, wife Mary with son Thomas J. age 3 yrs. I have placed them in Al. in 1870. They supposedly had a farm in Polk Co. Ga. so I thought maybe I could find them there. I don't have the name for Mr. McLain so it makes it very hard to find them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Janice [email protected]

Greetings...my name is Cathy Thompson and I am trying to locate a Harris Cemetery located in Cedartown. I've done all the usual searches online and have not had any success. My great grandmother, Maggie Carter Ashworth is supposed to be buried there. Our family is having a reunion in November and we just recently were given the information, so we would like to try to locate the cemetery and have one of our siblings visit it before then to take some pictures for us. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Regards, Cathy Thompson www.lightpatch.com

My father -in-law is Rowland Parks Bolton, Sr. b. 12 Oct. 1915 in Cedartown. Could you possibly help me?
