She was preceded in death by: parents, Joseph Gentry and Ellen Pope Gentry; husband, John Henry Gable; and sons, Willis Gable, Elmer Gable and Willard Gable. Survivors include: son, Cecil Gable of Cedartown; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great- grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Currin officiating. Mr. Fugelsoe was born September 26, 1953 in Brooklyn, NY, son of Art and Betty Fugelsoe. He graduated from Ramsey High School, Ramsey, New Jersey, received his Bachelor of Science from Berry College and his Masters of Education from Georgia State University. He served in the United States Navy as a Sea-Bee. In 1977, he started the Construction Department at Rockmart High School. Surviving are his wife, Carol Garrett Fugelsoe, Rockmart, to whom he was married on July 21, 1979; son, Lee Fugelsoe, Rockmart; sister, Marilyn Krauskopf, Tempe, AZ; parents, Art and Betty Fugelsoe, Waleska, Ga.; one niece. The funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday January 4, 2004 in the Freeman Harris Funeral Home chapel. Interment was held in the family lot of Polk Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Charles “Ju” McCowen, Glen Philpot, William Bulmer, Phillip Blissett, Larry Garrett and Thomas Krauskopf. Honorary pallbearers were Elijah McManus and Bennett Jacobs. He was born Sept. 7, 1923 in Audubon, Minn. Mr. Froysland was a US Army veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a retired Boiler Maker from the Graver Tank Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Froysland and parents, Olaf and Emma Froysland. Surviving are his son, Edward Mitchell Strickland of Wilmington, Del.; sister, Laverne Johnson of Fargo, N.D.; brother, Amer Froysland of Audubon, Minn., and niece Barbara Adams of Cedartown. Two grandchildren also survive. Private family services were conducted. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hyman Hospice or the American Cancer Society. She was also a member of the Retired Teachers’ Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles J. and Mildred Thornton Vance, and husband Sam Frew. Survivors include sons, William Vance Frew of Cedartown and Charles Samuel Frew of Cedartown, and a brother, Joe Vance of Cedartown. Funeral services were conducted Friday, April 4, 2003 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Litesey Funeral Home with Dr. David Taylor officiating. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery. She was born in Talladega, Ala. on Sept. 11, 1920. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Rockmart and was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Rockmart for many years. Mrs. Popham served most of her working career as an optometric assistant alongside her husband, the late Dr. Benjamin Eugene Popham, Sr. She later married Cecil D. Franklin, who also precedes her in death. Survivors include: two sons, Dr. B.E. Popham, Jr. of Cartersville and Dr. Ray Popham of Cedartown; two sisters, Dr. Alys Walker of Dalton and Evelyn Lawrence of Cedartown; and three brothers, Dr. A.O. Yoe of Talladega, Dr. Meredith Yoe of Columbus and Dr. James Yoe of Bremen. Seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held Monday, April 5, at 3 p.m., in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Rockmart with Rev. Carol Cook and Dr. David Taylor officiating. She is survived by her sons Ronnie Forrester of Forest Park and Wayne and daughter-in- law Barbara Forrester of Conyers and brother, Paul O’Kelley of Cedartown. Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jackson and Corine Rutledge Floyd. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Jeffers Floyd; sons, Steve and Tommy Floyd; daughters Sandra McNally and Jan Floyd; sister, Dorothy Stevens; and six grandchildren. Survivors include daughters, Darlene Ferguson and Melissa Rayburn; sons, Johnny, Steve, and Larry Ferguson; 11 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Friday, June 6, 2003 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Roberson and Rev. Earl Partain officiating. He was born March 24, 1932 in Apollo, Penn., to the late Joseph and Wilma Jenkins Faber. He was a member of the St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church, was retired from the military, serving in both the Navy and Air Force. He served during both the Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sons, Steven Michael Faber and John Chris Faber. Survivors include his wife, Brenda; son, Thomas Wayne Bell; daughters, Terry Stewart and Diana Cochran; brothers, Franklin and Ernest Faber; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Mass was said on Tuesday, June 10, at 1 p.m. from St. Bernadette’s with Father Rafael Castano officiating. Erwin, 89, of the Renaissance Marque, formerly of Park St., Cave Spring, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2003. She was born Dec. 31, 1913 in Imboden, Ark., the daughter of the late Lawrence and Ernestine Bragg Nelson. She moved to Ft. Wayne, Ind., in 1920 and was a graduate of South Side High School there. She was married to Harley F. Irwin, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Beverly J. Lane and Sharon E. Erwin. She retired from the City Utilities of Ft. Wayne in 1974. She was a past president of the Allen County Republican Women Federated, was a past president of the St. Joe Athletic Club Women’s Auxiliary, a member of the Eastern Star Ch. 432, Moose Lodge, and the Dressmakers’ Guild of Ft. Wayne. The Erwins moved to Cave Spring in 1990, where Mrs. Erwin became a member of the Cave Spring United Methodist Church. Survivors include: her children, Donald Erwin, Paul Erwin, Janet Adams, and Rosalie Parks; a sister, Alice Baney; brother, Lawrence Nelson; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 31 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Cave Spring with Rev. Tal Roberts officiating. Interment followed in the Floyd Memory Gardens. Survivors include: daughters, Gloria Heard and Frances Griffin; stepdaughter, Patsy Ayers; son, Wendell Wood; sisters, Martha Williams and Mattie Lou Pope; brother, J. T. Williams; five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and 5 step- great-grandchildren.
