He was a Marine Veteran and was born in Carroll County. Mr. Gore was preceded in death by his parents, James Forrest Gore and Verlie Lou Barnette Gore. Survivors include: wife, Margaret Earley Gore; daughters, Dianne Quick and Darlene Killinger; and sisters, June Lee and Norma Ingram. Six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. at the Southside Baptist Church with Rev. J.C. Robinson and Dr. James Guy officiating. Mr. Golden was born Dec. 28, 1945, in Cedartown. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He was supervisor of the 2nd phase of construction of South Lamar School and a member of Mr. Pleasant Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Golden. Survivors include wife, Janet Billingsley Golden of Millport, AL; mother, Edna Taylor of Martinsville, IN, and father, Hubert Golden of St. Louis, MO; son, Phillip Michael Golden, Jr., of Charleston, SC; daughters, Dawn Borders of Covington, KY, Angelia Philips of Amory, MS, and Staci Simpson, Kerry Clark, Joy Truett, all of Cedartown; sister, Sandra Nations of Martinsville, IN; and eleven grandchildren. She was a former member of the Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron. She was a former employee of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company of Rockmart, a former employee of the Rockmart Chamber of Commerce and a former bookkeeper for Bennett-Morgan Tractor Company. She was preceded in death by son, Mr. Jon Gober; daughter, Mrs. Ginger Wright; sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Potts and Mrs. Ilan Reed; brothers, Mr. Morris Martin and Clarence Martin. Surviving are husband of 70 years, Ira W. Gober, Rockmart; daughters, Mrs. Shirley King, Rockmart and Mrs. Jan Julian, Marietta; sons, Lanny Gober, Rockmart and Tim Gober, Carrollton; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. Gentry was born April 20, 1915 in Polk County and was the son of the late William Arthur and Mattie Waters Gentry. He raised cattle and farmed for more than 70 years in Polk County. He was a deacon of the Fish Creek Baptist Church, where he served as Church Clerk for 46 years. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mrs. Faye Weaver Gentry and by his second wife of 58 years, Mrs. Nellie Shepherd Gentry, and two brothers, Mr. Ivey Gentry and Mr. W.D. Gentry. Survivors include his daughter, Doris Gentry Collum, Cartersville; son, Clyde Gentry of St. Cloud, FL; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 4, 2003 in the Hills Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald McPherson and Rev. Howard Locklear officiating. Garrison, Sr., 78, 1491 Taylorsville-Macedonia Rd., Taylorsville, passed away Thursday, July 24, following a period of declining health. He was born October 12, 1924 in Taylorsville, the son of the late Luna Rutledge Garrison and the late Samuel J. Garrison. Garrison was a member of the Taylorsville Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, Sunday School director and choir member. He was also the owner and operator of the Garrison Dairy for many years and was a 50-year member of the John Akin Masonic Lodge #537 F&AM of Taylorsville. He was also a member of the Euharlee Farmers Club as well as a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army during the European campaign. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie E. McDurmon. Survivors include: two daughters, Linda Campbell, Rockmart, and Diane Bockholt of Calhoun; two sons, Charles Chuck Garrison and Donny H. Garrison, both of Taylorsville; four sisters, LaVerne Turner, Stuart, FL, Hazel Daws, Douglasville, Martha Gilstrap, Cartersville and Jerri Flournoy, Ludowici; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 26, in the sanctuary of the Taylorsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Keith Dempsey and the Rev. Doug Harris officiating. Interment followed at the Taylorsville Cemetery. Pallbearers included: Tommy Daws, Jimmy Turner, Matt Flournoy, Jerry McDurmon and Keith McDurmon. She was born in Oklahoma on April 19, 1909, was a U.S. Army Veteran & Army Nurse during World War II, a member of Cedartown First Presbyterian Church, and retired from the State of Georgia as Polk County Health Nurse. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Grover and Ada Gertrude Garland. Survivors include: dear friend Zelia Ann Woodward; sister, Evelyn Garland Lowe; and a number of extended family, including nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Feb. 26 at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dave Grove officiating. Interment followed at Cedar Grove Methodist Cemetery in Ellenwood. She was born Jan. 5, 1920 in Bogalusa, Louisiana. She was the daughter of the late Percy Elliott Toney, Sr. and Irma Louise Ricks Toney. Her husband, Olin Lynn Gammage, Sr. also precedes her in death. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cedartown and was a member and teacher of the TEL Sunday school class. The Womens Mission Union of First Baptist Church named a WMU in honor of her; The Doris Gammage WMU Bible Study Group. Survivors include: daughter, Mary Louise Thomas of Albany; sons, Olin Lynn Gammage, Jr. of Cedartown, Dock Elliot Gammage of Duluth and Phillip Ray Gammage of Augusta; and brother, Percy Elliot Sonny Toney, Jr. of Augusta. Seventeen grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive. Graveside services were conducted Saturday, March 27, at 2 p.m., in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Sylvester, Ga. with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. The family has requested no flowers. Contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Cedartown, First Baptist Church of Sylvester and the television ministry of Southside Baptist Church of Cedartown. The Olin L.
