She was born December 14, 1943 in Polk County and was the daughter of the late Mattie Hindmon Kelley and the late James Floyd Kelley. She was of the Baptist faith and, while she was unable to be involved in the public most her life, she contributed to the welfare of those around her. Kelley is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Jeanette Ingle, Aragon, Mrs. Jenny Morgan and Mrs. Martha Allen, all of Rockmart; two brothers, Mr. Jerry Kelley and Mr. Billy Kelley, both of Aragon; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday, March 17, in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Coleman officiating. Interment followed at the Aragon Cemetery. She was born on March 19, 1920 in Lincoln County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Clara Warfield Brown and the late Charles Brown. Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by her sisters, Mayme Ezzell, Jean Brumby and Charleen Jordan. She became a resident of Polk County in 1937 and married former Rockmart Mayor, Milas Spinks in 1939 and in 1946, together owned and operated City Drug Company in downtown Rockmart until his death in 1967. She was a Rockmart merchant for a total of 59 years. She was the organist at First Baptist Church in Rockmart for 37 years and in 1984, she was voted the Rockmart Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year. In 1987, she was one of the first five women invited to join the Rockmart Rotary Club, where she continued to serve as secretary and pianist. Survivors include: her son, George Milas Spinks, Jr. of St. Simons Island; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, April 28, at 2 p.m., in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Rockmart with Rev. Paul Cleveland and T.A. Wilingham officiating. Interment followed in the family lot at Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers included Leslie Vogel, Sloan Barrow, Mason Brumby, Hugh McRae, Nathan Dean, Duck Mintz, Stewart Mintz and Billy Weaver. Surviving are: wife, Louise Jones of Monroe; daughter, Cathy Dooley of Monroe; sons, Randy Jones of Monroe, Tim Jones of Monroe; sisters, Tenny Overby of Dacula, Betty Majors of Dacula; and six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 5 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Meadows Funeral Home with the Rev. Margaret Adams officiating. Interment followed at Peachtree Memorial Garden in Norcross. Surviving are: mother, Viola Hindman Reddish; husband, Michael Jones; stepsons, Paul Jones and Chris Jones; brother, Cecil E. Reddish; sisters Lillian R. Davis and Joyce R. Mabie; a grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 7 in the Wimberly Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Waddell, Rev. Moses Wilson and Rev. Survivors include his son, Patrick Shane Jolly; sister, Shirley Peace; brother, Dwight Jolly; grandson, Kirkland Jolly and a number of nieces and nephews. The funeral service was conducted Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Lynn Gammage officiating. The interment followed in Northview Cemetery with full Military Rites conducted by the Brewster Cleveland Post #86.
