Do any of you know who the parents are of Sarah E. Coggin, 3rd wife of Noah Stewart. She was born 28 Feb 1860 and did not marry Noah until April 8, 1880, so she should be in the 1860 & 1870 Census with her parents. There is another Sarah Elizabeth Coggin, b. 24 March 1858, but this is NOT her. She is the daughter of Doctor Marion Coggin and Mary Ann Warren; married Robert Thomas Jackson on December 22, 1875 in Pike Co., Georgia. The only possibility I have found is this Eugenia Coggin, daughter of George D. Coggin and Lucy Jane Woods. 1860 Census - Meriwether Co., Georgia; P.O. Jones Mill; pg. 461 HH as of June 1, 1860 - Enumerated July 25, 1860 - #900-900 George D. Coggin, 31, M, Farming, -- / $500, Ga, cannot read/write Lucy J., 32, F, Ga, cannot read/write Mary A., 8, F, Ga John W., 7, M, Ga James H / I J, 4, M, Ga Augustus, 2, M, Ga Eugenia, 5 mos, F, Ga << this would mean a Jan/Feb 1860 birth I have not been able to locate George and family in the 1870 census. George married 2nd to Eliza J. Dunahoo (Donahue) on December 4, 1873 in Meriwether Co., so I would suspect he would be in the same area. I have looked out of state - but still no go. Any information to prove my theory welcomed - please :-) Valerie (Johnson) Freeman Tustin, California
