I just learned that Sarah Dorsey was indeed the mother of James. W. (my 3rd gr.grandfather), William C., Joseph O., & Margaret Ann who married John Bottoms of Fayette County. I strongly suspect her husband was Thomas B. who shows up on land records as living on the same land as Sarah before her death. (Am I making sense?) Sarah is in the 1870 census, living with her widowed daughter Margaret.
