Looking for information on Ransom Johnson or Johnston who may have moved to Pike Co, GA, ca. 1845, with the family of William Taylor who had moved from Sumter, SC, in 1845. Ransom apparently married and fathered a child possibly/probably with a Taylor daughter. Ransom died during the War Between the States. The child, a male, was adopted by the Taylor family. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. A male (Taylor) descendant of Ransom's son has had his Y-DNA tested and is a very close match to my Y-DNA. Thank you. Cliff. Johnston
