WOW Mike, thank you for your e-mail. Essie was the daughter of Josephus Coggin and Nancy Rebecca Jackson. She was born in Pike Co., Georgia. Josephus was the son of Silas Coggin and his 2nd wife, Mrs. Frances (Travers/Harris) Pace. They were married Oct 25, 1838 in Pike Co., Georgia. There is a ton of info available on the Pike Co Coggins. I have cc'd two people on this e-mail, Wilber Nixon and Lynn (Ballard) Cunningham, as well as the Pike Co., Georgia mailing list. Wilbur lives in Fayetteville, Georgia and is also a descendant of Josephus & Nancy through their daughter, Beulah Belle Coggin who married William Rufus Algerman "Al" Hardy. They were his Grandparents. Wilbur's e-mail is _nixon_wg@bellsouth.net_ (mailto:nixon_wg@bellsouth.net) Lynn is the "Goddess" of all things Pike County. Her knowledge of the families is amazing and she is blessed to live in the area. Please let me know what else we can share with you. And yes, we would love to see a picture of her grave and anything else you would like to share. Married to James Albert Yarbrough. Essie was born 09-06-1885 and died in 1975. I actually met someone a few years ago whom was baby-sat by Essie. I only have one memory of her when my dad took me to see her, I was probably 7-8 years old, now I am 42. i can send a pic of the grave marker if you desire and such that I have. Any info you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike Yarbrough.
