    3. Makes sense to me. It's not the first death certificate to be wrong and won't be the last. I think what you've presented about the census is probably true. Were the Charles F. and Mrs. Elijah Martin children from the first wife? I am especially interested in the daughter as I am also related to the Martins and I have never been able to figure out the Elijah Martins buried in Milner. I know they are somehow connected to my Martins, but cannot for the life of me piece them together. Vance also brought up the name difference. There are several reasons I think the death certificate is incorrect. (1) There was an older brother - James Burton Weaver. (Birth: Apr. 9, 1869, Death: Aug. 29, 1921.) James has a dc in the Pike County Probate office (I've seen it), but I can't find one online. James is also buried at Nazarath Church cemetery (J.B. Weaver). (2) He is listed as John on census records (1900, 1910, 1920).
