David Permetious Foster's parents were Robert Allen Foster and Martha Elizabeth "Doss." Martha Elizabeth's parents were Owen Brewer Doss and Martha B. Kendall. Owen Doss and Martha Kendall were married 12 April 1855 In Spalding County. After Martha's death Owen married Susan Ann Jane Freeman on 06 April 1858 in Spalding County and they moved to Arkansas with several other extended members of the Doss family. David Permetious Foster's brother Orren Allen Foster was married to Louie Clyde Ballard on 09 August 1905 in Pike County.
